Service Details

Personal philosophy on food/weight issues is non-dieting, weight acceptance.
Treatment description
All patients receive an interdisciplinary team assessment that includes a medical assessment with a family physician, a psychological assessment with a psychologist, and a psychosocial/family assessment with a social worker. Patients will be offered feedback and recommendations concerning diagnosis and treatment.
Treatment may include one or more of the the following:
Group Therapy
- psychoeducation group for young adults
- carers group for parents and significant others
Individual and/or Family Therapy
- between two and twenty sessions according to patient/family needs
Nutrition Counselling
- assessment and counselling with the team dietitian
Medical Monitoring
- monthly appointments with a team family physician
Psychiatric Consultation
- available when appropriate

Restrictions on service provisions
The program is limited to individuals between the ages of 18 and 25 who have been diagnosed with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa or an eating disorder not otherwise specified. At this time, individuals with binge eating disorder are not eligible.
