The events listed on this page are relevant to individuals who have a personal or professional interest in eating disorders, body image, self-esteem, and related subjects. As we are a Canadian organization, most of these events are in Canada. 

If you are hosting an event, such as an education session, workshop, or conference, we invite you to let us know about it. We are happy to promote the following on this page: 

  • events for which there is no fee to attend, or the fee is nominal (this will be assessed on a case-by-case basis)
  • fundraisers in support of non-profit eating disorder organizations
  • eating disorder-specific trainings hosted by non-profit organizations (regardless of fee) 
  • eating disorder conferences (regardless of fee)

  • Sage and Spoon

    ONLINE PEER SUPPORT

    Founded by Nalgona Positivity Pride,  Sage and Spoon is a support program established to meet a need for more closed spaces designated for members of Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour (BIPOC) communities struggling with body image issues and/or disordered eating. Sage and Spoon support groups are free to attend and open to folks 18+ of all gender identities, expressions, and sizes.


    Meetings take place via Zoom every last Wednesday of the month.

    Body Peace BIPOC Peer Support Group

    FREE ONLINE PEER SUPPORT GROUP

    Open to individuals ages 18-29

    This five-week group is for people who identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or People of Colour. Groups will start on Wednesday, February 21 and will run every week on Wednesdays from 7-8 p.m. Eastern Time / 8-9 p.m. Atlantic Time.

    NEDIC and Safely Connected, The Eating Disorder Centre

    Body Image and Eating Issues on Campus: a FREE Online Event for Post-Secondary Students


    Join NEDIC and Safely Connected, The Eating Disorder Centre for this interactive workshop that will address body image, eating, and mental health in post-secondary settings. 

    Attendees will have space to share how stressors on campus have impacted their eating; unpack their understanding of weight and health; and learn how to reframe our conversations about bodies. We will end with a discussion about creating body-neutral spaces.

    Caregivers United: Eating Disorder Program for Parents & Family [Spring 2024 Cohort]

    Whether your child or loved one has been newly diagnosed with an eating disorder or has been struggling for some time, YOU can have a significant impact on their recovery.

    Caregivers United is a 6-week live virtual program for parents and family supporting a loved one with an eating disorder designed to help you gain the essential tools, confidence, and peace of mind you need to support your loved one as best as possible.

    With 6 weekly themes, you’ll leave this program with a deep understanding of eating disorders and treatment as well as build skills in meal support and emotional coaching to walk with your loved one through recovery.

    As Dietitians, we’ve helped countless parents and families of those with an eating disorder. We’d be honoured to answer your unique questions and work with you too.

    💲 Join for $510 + GST (CAD) per participant, which includes access for the entire family. We're committed to accessibility and can discuss subsidy options to ensure everyone can participate.
